CALLING BARKEEPS FOR THE BEST LARGE FORMAT COMPETITION
Hello Barkeeps! This year we will be hosting great events all over the country and we need to find [5] barkeeps in each city to throw down at Punch Kings. The theme is large format, and the participating bartenders are given 30 minutes to prepare 1 punch bowl featuring 1 bottle of Breckenridge Bourbon along with their special ingredients. Presented to five notable judges, the winner receives bragging rights, a trophy, a $1000 bottle of Breckenridge Reserve Bourbon and a trip to compete at “Last Call” Tour Finale in Denver in June, 2015. Best of all, this is a quick fire competition, once you are done, enjoy the event.
THEME & RULES
Provide [1] Large Format Punch rightfully made with [1] Bottle of Breckenridge Bourbon and [1] Punch Bowl in less than 30 minutes made with your special ingredients. Imagine making a punch for your friends, fellow bartenders, don’t make it for consumers, the judges are well known chefs, media, a distillery owner, Cochon Founder and respected barkeeps. Upon completion, barkeeps will serve “The Punch” to [6] judges who vote, and then VIP guests (who do not vote) until the punch is gone. Upon hitting empty, barkeep cleans their area. The barkeep with the most points out of 15 will win. Judges score on [3] categories: Presentation, Creativity and Flavor, each with a possible score of 5 points, 1 being low, 5 being high. In case of a tie, the winner will be selected by the “best sip” and the barkeeps attention to the overall process, cleanliness and timeline. All Barkeeps will be called on stage, and the winner will be announced to the entire audience. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the event and attend the after party. You should yield about 40-50 portions, when its gone, you clean up and enjoy the event!
