Cochon555’s Epic Culinary Competition Tour & Experiential Food Experience Announces a Portion of Ticket Sales Will Support a Charity Dedicated to Creating the World’s First Open-Source Genetics Model for Family Farming

An all-inclusive guest chef series paying homage to Chinese, Sichuan, Korean, Thai and Japanese after-hour restaurants known to inspire great chefs and menus across the country. A multi-course culinary extravaganza celebrating responsible agriculture and culinary champions with a late-night seated dinner.

COCHON 555 takes over the city with the help of great farmers and notable chefs to celebrate heritage breed pigs and set the course for a safer food system. This epic one-of-a-kind culinary weekend features an epic Friday ‘Late Nite Asian Speakeasy’ Dinner to kick-off the festivities, followed by a ‘Chef’s Course’ Dinner on Saturday and concludes with the main event on Sunday. Cochon 555 is the country’s most hyper-local culinary competition where five top chefs are challenged to create a winning menu from a locally raised heritage breed pig.

The weekend includes a local chef hosting a guest chef dinner on Friday night to kick off the event weekend. New this year, Cochon 555 announces a new dinner series: “Late Nite Asian Speakeasy”, the first ever Nation-wide Pop-Up of its kind. The evening begins with a welcome reception followed by a multi-course seated dinner paired with premium beverages. The two hour culinary experience includes thoughtfully detailed dishes with introductions to each course by the city’s most prominent chefs ($125 all inclusive). The dinner is an extension of the Cochon US Tour, and a portion of the monies from the dinner will benefit Piggy Bank, a 501c3.

The dinner series is a national series featuring 50 of the nation’s emerging chefs. The participating chefs will showcase their skills in the kitchen as diners enjoy a course from each showcasing their distinct culinary approach for an unparalleled experience with a premium beverage pairing for each. Throughout the evening guests will be guided through the dinner with a chance to mingle and enjoy the night with the friends and family of Team Cochon.
