The Gotham Smash Recipe

Overview
Calling all Burger LOVERS! Become a burger master from the master himself Michael Puma of Gotham Burger Social Club. Michael will be demoing his famous burger from the 2020 NYC Cochon555 Event, The Gotham Smash . Learn the craft of building the perfect burger for any occasion! And better yet, this will all happen LIVE! Here’s the best part: when using your Citi credit card or Citibank debit card, this awesome experience is completely free! INGREDIENTS
- Two 3oz balls of beef
- Salt
- A cup of thin sliced white onions
- 2 slices American cheese
- Pat of butter
- Sliced pickles
- A Martin’s potato bun
DIRECTIONS
TOOLS:
- A flat griddle OR a cast iron skillet
- Wide Spatula (You’ll also need it to smash your ball of beef.)
DIRECTIONS:
- Get your cooking surface hot and melt some unsalted butter and lightly toast your bun.
- Remove then place your 3oz balls of meat on the hot surface.
- Then cover each ball with your thin sliced onions and Smash each ball down to form a pattie.
- Salt each pattie and let cook for 1.5 mins and flip.
- Add a slice of cheese and melt.
- Cook time is 2 mins.
- Stack your 2 patties and place on your bun.
- Top with sweet pickles, yellow mustard and ketchup if you like and enjoy your Gotham Smash!

The 9-city Tour kicks off in Febraury, connecting quality-driven diners with family farmers, chefs, winemakers, restaurateurs, brewers, and distillers while contributing to a local charity.
